Choosing the right bedroom for is essential in a house because the bedroom is my sanctuary its my place of comfort where i can relaxe in my own space after a long day in work or from going to the gym, for me my bedroom needs to be decorated to the style i like so when i walk in to my room it looks good and i get a feel that i can relax.

To me this comes down to how my room is positioned and the things that i have in there like a nice Rug in front of my radiator for my dog to lie on, a large bed with a comfy mattress to sleep on and also has a large headboard for a little bit character and soft silk bed sheets that go with the colour of the walls and curtains so it does’nt look odd.

I like it to be as though the room says something when its entered and that it gives a little bit of my personality with it as its been decorated to my standards and stlye, having my bed positioned against the wall with the dressing table to the side with the television on it, a large rug in the centre of the floor and a large headboard to make it stand out. I Like to play games online in my bedroom, so i need an electric socket or 2…. My PS3 – Playstation console and my laptop serve as Essential tools for me to play online.

Decorating Experiences.

Firstly my personal Finds

A wile ago i travelled up to scotland by train to help my friend with some decorating in his aunties private manner house (and a break away from the wife and kids) one of the rooms had been used for a childrens party. The place had been destroyed there was food all over the walls, drinks had been spilled on the carpet and rugs and were stained orange, red and purple, and worst of all one of her antique chairs had been broken. Judging by the rooms state it looked as though it was going to take a wile. It took half a day trying to get all the tables, chairs, rugs and carpets out.

Once we had that out of the way we could start by stripping the walls. My friend alistair and i started taking the wall paper off wile his aunty fixed us some lunch and a nice cup of tea. After good hour of stripping the wall paper we decided to have a break to eat and look around the manner. It was huge and lovely inside as well as outside and the building was built in seventeen eighty six to which brings me my next point.

When we had started back on the walls taking the paper off to get it ready i had noticed that was a very fine line that roughly three feet away from the cornor of the room and extended back up the wall by around six foot and then finished in the corner. It looked as though it some form of sealent in it. So i got the stanley knife out and started to scrape the sealent out after ten minutes of doing so i was able to see that it was a secret door way. I told alistair to go and get his aunty with a torch as well wile i tried to get it open. I tried for ten minutes to open it then got alistair to push on the bottom wile i pushed at the top and managed to get it open. We even had time for a quick go on Pacman, an old and simple game to play.

A huge gust of air and dust rushed out as im guessing it hadn’t been opened for a few hundred years. It was like entering aladins cave. It was full of antiques and orniments. There was an old four poster bed, ancient hand woven rugs, antique chairs and tables. It truely was an amazing find and alistairs aunty got the museum in volved so the items could be preserved as they were apart of history. The decorating from then on went on hold. What an exciting and eventfull day it was.

How furniture and Games helps

Furniture is an essential part of a bedroom, without it the room just looks bare and empty. So what can we do or look at to to make the room look fuller? why not look at the items you already have and see what is missing or what the room needs. This could be throwing away your old furniture and getting new bits like possibly a Rug, A table, new curtains, bed. It can be anything that you wish. Looking at the style of the room you will be changing is very important try these simple steps.

A little change can make a huge difference be it painting, or wall papering. Adding a new piece of furniture like a new lamp or table, possibly getting a new headboard that will cover some of the wall because ot looks quite bare. Put some pictures in frames on the wall. It can litterally anything as long you like it and makes you feel good. These ideas can help to create a better atmosphere and feel that you will get off the room as you are the person that is going to be sleeping in there.

When you have this in place it can make you feel much better in your self as the room feels better when you walk in to it, because the style changes the atmosphere there for changeing your mood, its like colours a brown or dark coloured room will feel warmer than say a brigher coloured room like blue.

So to me style matters.
