Decorating Experiences.

Firstly my personal Finds

A wile ago i travelled up to scotland by train to help my friend with some decorating in his aunties private manner house (and a break away from the wife and kids) one of the rooms had been used for a childrens party. The place had been destroyed there was food all over the walls, drinks had been spilled on the carpet and rugs and were stained orange, red and purple, and worst of all one of her antique chairs had been broken. Judging by the rooms state it looked as though it was going to take a wile. It took half a day trying to get all the tables, chairs, rugs and carpets out.

Once we had that out of the way we could start by stripping the walls. My friend alistair and i started taking the wall paper off wile his aunty fixed us some lunch and a nice cup of tea. After good hour of stripping the wall paper we decided to have a break to eat and look around the manner. It was huge and lovely inside as well as outside and the building was built in seventeen eighty six to which brings me my next point.

When we had started back on the walls taking the paper off to get it ready i had noticed that was a very fine line that roughly three feet away from the cornor of the room and extended back up the wall by around six foot and then finished in the corner. It looked as though it some form of sealent in it. So i got the stanley knife out and started to scrape the sealent out after ten minutes of doing so i was able to see that it was a secret door way. I told alistair to go and get his aunty with a torch as well wile i tried to get it open. I tried for ten minutes to open it then got alistair to push on the bottom wile i pushed at the top and managed to get it open. We even had time for a quick go on Pacman, an old and simple game to play.

A huge gust of air and dust rushed out as im guessing it hadn’t been opened for a few hundred years. It was like entering aladins cave. It was full of antiques and orniments. There was an old four poster bed, ancient hand woven rugs, antique chairs and tables. It truely was an amazing find and alistairs aunty got the museum in volved so the items could be preserved as they were apart of history. The decorating from then on went on hold. What an exciting and eventfull day it was.

change the style of your bedroom

I would like to discuss various types that are available to everyone, when you feel that your bedroom is no longer in a comfortable matter for you its time for a new style.

This could be a brand new bed, mattress, or even headboard, that makes you feel more comfortable and at ease when you go to bed enableing you to get a better night sleep, although this could just be down to your mattress.

Getting a new one makes the room look better even though its not as visable as you think in your consiousness it is, these little changes can make all the difference, for example my mum recently bought a new bed and mattress at a very reasonable price, it changed the room atmosphere, all though its only a bed and mattress, this changes the style of your bedroom because of the style of bed and mattress you choose, of which you manouver around to suit your style of which is best suited to you.

Other bits that can make it feel more comfortable are items such as duvet, bed sheets, Pilow or more pillows all of which seem small and insignificant can actually make a big difference.

When you have this in place it can make you feel much better in your self as the room feels better when you walk in to it, because the style changes the atmosphere there for changeing your mood, its like colours a brown or dark coloured room will feel warmer than say a brigher coloured room like blue.

So to me style matters.
